Finding out you missed one, while it still matters

The other half of a missed call, and a different thing from the message the caller gets. What reaches you, how quickly, and what it tells you.

What it does

What reaches you

The alert names the caller

If they are already a contact you get their name and their history, not an unknown number to puzzle over.

It arrives while it is warm

The notification comes as the call ends, so ringing back is a decision you make in the next ten minutes rather than the next day.

It is on the record either way

Whether or not you see the alert, the missed call is logged against the contact, so nothing depends on you noticing a banner.

How it works

How it reaches you

  1. The call goes unanswered.
  2. Your phone shows the alert with the caller's name if you have one.
  3. You open it and see their history before deciding what to say.
  4. You ring back, or you leave it to the text and the AI.

Worth knowing

Worth knowing

  • Alerts you cannot act on become alerts you ignore. Turn off the ones that reach you when you are up a ladder.
  • Knowing is not answering. This tells you sooner; it does not do the callback.
  • An unknown number is still an unknown number. It can only name the people already on your records.
